GL-6911 - All instruments that interface with the plant’s SCADA system, or have a direct safety function or process control function, will need a plant tag number. Signals transmitted to the SCADA system via a serial link from a package local control panel must be allocated a plant tag number.GL-6914 - A thermistor on a motor/generator is regarded as part of the motor/generator and not given a separate plant tag number. If the interface signal from the thermistor ends up in the switchboard it will not be tagged, if it ends up in the SCADA system it will be tagged. The control cable between the thermistor and the switchboard will be tagged.GL-6919 - Limit switches on automated valves are tagged. The actuator and positioner are regarded as parts of the automated valve and not separately tagged.
