Delayed cracking  !HIC/cold cracking) occurs in welds due to a combination of 3 factors !Hydrogen, high hardness and high, internal stresses) coming together in the weld. Smulders takes the necessary action to limit the  occurence of, these factors as much as possible and No issues with delayed cracking have occured in the latest projects  executed by Smulders., This delayed cracking of welds has no relation to the standard weld defects related to the process, welder,...   and therefore there is no relation with a standard defect rate and applicable hold time for NDT., Statement document R-TI-GR-301 can be used to provide to employer to agree on reduced hold time.</Text><Text id="64085" page="30">Radiographic testing can&apos;t be replaced by manual or recorded UT is not to be accepted, !note: exception is made for bridges, where this is a requirement of the standard, if not, acceptable by employer cost to be taken into account)., DNV-OS-C401:, 2) RT is required.
